DAY 1: Ahmedabad
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Goa airport. Upon arrival in Ahmedabad transfer to hotel for a few hours rest. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2: Ahmedabad – Patan – Modhera -Bajana (240 km / 4h30)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for visiting the capital of Gujarat: Ahmedabad where you will visit the Jama Masjid mosque, one of the most beautiful in India and where is the tomb of Ahmed Shah the founder of the city. Continuation by visiting Ados Darwasa which is an ancient gateway, it is an architectural wonder and by visiting the temple Jain Hutheesing.
You will then discover the Ashram of Sabarmati which is also called the Ashram of Gandhi, central point of the struggle for the independence of India. Lunch then free afternoon in the streets of the old town. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3: Bajana – Bhuj (250 km / 4 hours)
Breakfast at hotel and departure to Bajana. En route visit Ajalaj Ki Vaav finely carved stairwells that formerly provided water for drinking, washing, and bathing. In Patan visit a magnificent well, the Rani Ki Vav, one of the largest and most glitzy of all India. Lunch then departure for Modhera where you will visit its magnificent temple of the sun, one of the most beautiful architectures of the 11th century.
Arrival in Bhuj. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Bhuj – Kutch – Bhuj (150 km / 3 hours)
After breakfast, a safari will allow you to observe the wild donkeys of the area, flamingos and many species of birds.
Road to Bhuj. On the way, visiting villages will allow you to meet communities such as the Rabaris, Koli, Bajana, Banni, Meghwal, Jat, Harijan or Mutwa who have preserved their tribal ways of life. You can discover their traditions and crafts. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Bhuj – Dwarka (460 km / 8 hours)
Breakfast at the hotel. Bhuj is a fortified city in the heart of the Rann des Kutch desert. You will discover the salt marshes providing most of the Indian salt.
Visit of Bhuj, including the Aina Mahal palace built in 1752 by the Maharajah Rao Lakhpatji, the Popular Art Museum and the Swaminarayan Temple. Excursion to the splendid Shara Bagh Palace, near the sea, residence of the last Maharajash of Bhuj, part of which has been transformed into a museum.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Dwarka – Bet Dwarka – Dwarka (70 km / 2h30)
Breakfast at the hotel. Road to Dwarka, which is one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism. It has always been an important center of pilgrimage because for the Hindus it was here that Krishna built his capital after his departure from Mathura. On the way you will pass through Jamnagar known for its Ayurvedic University, the largest of Gujarat built around Lake Ranmal, which features a small palace in the center.
Continuation of the road for Dwarka. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 : Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath – Diu (320 km / 6h)
Breakfast at the hotel followed by a walk through the streets of the city to the Dwarkanath temple, dedicated to Krishna, where pilgrims flock in numbers. Lunch then departure for Bet Dwarka from Okha. You will take the boat to get there. You will visit the temple Dhwarkadhish and you will walk in the market of the island then return to Dwarka. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Diu
Breakfast at the hotel and then drive to Diu. Stop at Porbandar, birthplace of Gandhi and visit his native house. Continue to Somnath to visit its most sacred temple of Shiva’s twelve lingams. Lunch and departure for the island of Diu. Dinner and overnight at the hotel by the sea.
Day 9: Diu – Sasan – Gir (140 km / 3 hours and 30 minutes)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning devoted to a tour of the city marked by the passage of Portuguese. Visit St. Paul’s Church, St. Thomas Church and the fort. Walk through the market. Lunch then free afternoon to enjoy the beach and the swimming pool of the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Sasan – Junagadh – Gondal – Rajkot (150 km / 3 hours)
Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Sasangir. Lunch and installation at the hotel. In the afternoon, departure to Gir National Park for a safari in the only place in the world where you can still find Asian lions in the wild. You will meet many animals. At the end of the day return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Rajkot – Lothal – Vadodera (290 km / 5h30)
Breakfast at hotel then departure for Vadodara. Stop at Junadadh to visit the Mahabat Maqbara mausoleum, and stroll through the market. Stop at Lothal, ancient civilization of the valley of the Indus. It is one of the main sites of archeology. Lunch and continuation towards Vadodara. Visit the magnificent palace of Laxmi Vilas, one of the largest private accommodation for the time. Installation, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Vadodara – Ahmedabad (210 km / 4 hours)
Breakfast at hotel and drive to Ahmedabad. Stop at Champaner – Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a World Heritage Site by Unesco. You will discover the mosques Saher Ki Masjid and Jami Masjid. Lunch then continuation to Ahmedabad where you will visit the Siddi Saiyyed mosque and the Villa Sarabhai built by Le Corbusier. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Ahmedabad
Breakfast at the hotel. Planning of the day to adapt according to availabilities of flights. Transfer to the airport for international flight.
